
Cholula is the mexican city where Hernan Cortes in 1519, on his way (route) to the aztec capital city, stopped by and visited the city, and declared Cholula the most beatiful city outside Spain because the splendor of its outstanding temples and the luxury at its palaces as well the magnificent view of the nearby volcanoes and flower fields. Cholula was the place where Cortes was about to die but saved his life thanks to Malinche, his translator and lover, who informed Cortes about an aztec conspiracy against his life inside the city walls.
Bernal Diaz del Castillo, who was a Cortes' soldier, wrote a famous book describing all events happeneded in the city and how much beauty spaniards found in its market and local craftsmanship.
