   Red Temple Mural Minimize

Red Temple

The Red Temple mural represents a old man, a priest, next to a bag of merchandise and facing to corn plants whose corps are depicted as human heads. Also there is cocoa plant and a big frog in blue. The edging is decorated with aquatic elements and a blue feathered serpent.
  

   Cacaxtla Site Minimize

Cacaxtla is an Olmec-Xicalanca prehispanic site that's treasuring unique colorful murals which represent warriors in a mithological combat, priests and antique gods as well you'll find remains of primitive pyramids in other side of the area.

The Cacaxtla murales were painted beetween 650 A.D and 750 or 800 A.D. with very mayan iconographic and stylistics preferences. Therefore, these murals represent the unique well-preserved artistic expression of mayan painting in the area.

  

   Jaguar Man Mural Minimize

This mural is depicted on northern side of the portico of the building identified as Building A and shows a Jaguar man wearing an feline skin name ocelotl. The man is also on a snake wearing an other ocelotl skin. The group represents the forces of the night.

  

   Eagle Man Mural Minimize

This mural is depicted on southern side of the portico of the building identified as Building A and shows a Eagle man wearing an eagle-quetzal feathered clothes. The man is also on a eagle-quetzal feathered snake. The group represents the forces of the day.

  

   Battle Mural Minimize
The Battle Mural represents a symbolic battle between two enemy armies who represent the allegory of struggle of the opposites or the allegory of a cosmic fight between day and night. In fact, there is not evidence than this battle took place anytime but all the painting expresses in rich artistic details the symbols related to both cosmic forces.
