The Cathedral Church of Oaxaca, symbol of the city and is a colonial building made of the local green stone and is located next to the main city square. The building has to be rebuilt twice because different earthquakes ocurred in the area. This building has being a silent witness of the independence, Reforma and Mexican Revolution conflicts.

Monte Alban is one of the most mystical archaeological site of Mexico. The city was during the prehispanic classic period the center of the Zapoteco and Mixteco native groups whose its cultural legacy in art, handcrafmanship and traditions influenced the mexican design for centuries as well as contemporary artists like Frida Kahlo for instance.
