The Popocatepetl, Ixtaccihualt (or Iztaccihuatl) volcanoes are the most famous and second and third tallest volcanoes of Mexico. And they are in the list of the 10 top tallest peaks in North America with McKinley Mountain in Alaska. And these three mexican volcanoes are located in Puebla State. Then, there is tour to visit the two closest ones to Puebla City which are Popocatepetl (nick name "Popo)" that means "smoking mountain" and Ixtaccihuatl ("Ixta") that means "white woman".

According to the prehispanic leyend, Popo was a warrior and Ixta was princess. They were in love. But when there is good relationship between a man and a woman always there is a jealous person. Then once the Popo was far away from the princess the jealous person came close to the princess and said this lie to her: "Popo, there warrior you love, was killed in battle". She believed the lie and decided to kill herself by hitting her heart with an arrow. Once she accomplished her wish the arrow put her to sleep.

Popo came back and found the princess sleeping. He was in pain but decide to keep his love for her by making a bed made of arrows and put the princess on it. Once the princess was sleeping on the bed Popo started to take of her lover for eternity.
